ellavarkkum namskaaram....... i am from perumpally - the big church's place. the mango tree in our govt. high school is still stands live in my memories..... 'bamboo island' is a good place to live ....... with more than 15 financial institutions 2 theatres, 3 hospitals, railway station, 4 secondary schools..........etc... really growing day by day !!

Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Vayanasala
The function was organised on 23/12/06 as planned. The organisors have to get all the credit for making the function as a grand success. The function was presided by Shri K.N. Narayanan, Block Panchayath President and inaugurated by Smt. Subaida Isac, President, Palghat Jilla Panchayath. The two speakers S/Shri Vaisaghan and Umayanellur Kunjukrishnapilla, through their eloquent and worthfull speach attracted the audience very much. They very emphatically stressed the need for encouraging 'more and creative reading' as it is very much lacking in the young generation now, who are being attracted to the world of TV and Cinema which they emphasised will tarnish the future of our nation. They were also very particular about the uncultured and meaningless religious believes and activities. On listening to their speaches, I felt they have thrown open the real world to the people to think and act wisely. The function was concluded with Nadan Pattukal, Nadan Kalakal and Nadodi Nadakangal presented by Jananayana, Thrissur, which was to the great surprise to me and others assembled there. This was very unique and uncomparable with full of educative points. I congradulate the organisors heartly for presenting such unforgettable moments.
